About Time
Time is the fourth album released by Healey St. It consists of the same musical formula of the previous albums - eight songs, two cover songs and six originals. This album is about nature, human and earthly. This website is abit of a time capsule of sorts. The previous albums never addressed how I felt about what was happening to this planet. In 20 years will it make a difference? I don't know, I might not be around but my family will and maybe they will have a glimpse into bits and pieces of what I was thinking. The album begins with:
Grounded- This is really about how crazy things can get, how easy it is too lose control and feel a sense of helplessness. Some of us even dip into an Alternate Reality just to try and make sense of what's going on.
Message in a Bottle- This is a great song by The Police, it's well written lyrically and has a notable message. In the end the man on the island wasn't alone after all.
Salisbury- We go on holiday to Salisbury Beach every year, its a week of prolific songwriting for me. This particular melody came to me while watching the sunrise, I hummed it into my cellphone. So of course the next day I decided to video tape the sunrise.
It's not too Late- This song is pretty obvious.
Norwegian Wood- I always liked hearing a flute play that melody.
Surfside- So the opposite of Salisbury, it was a stormy day that day.
Time-Originally this song was about when I would pass away, and relatives are going through my things. Then it turned into something else. What would they find?
This River-The river is music.
The 21st century has seen the top ten hottest years in the history of weather, with July 2021 being the single hottest month ever recorded. These increased temperatures have led to greater evaporation from melting ice sheets, which scientists believe to be causing an increase in the frequency and intensity of storms across the planet. Soon, a chain reaction of global climate “tipping points”—or points of no return—could permanently scar Earth’s biosphere.
It takes about a decade for us to begin feeling the effects of any alterations we make in our pollution output. So the time for change is now.
