About Healey St

This is the eighth album released by Healey St. The music formula for this project is slightly different from previous albums. There are nine songs, three cover songs and six originals but of the six originals three are instrumentals. The three cover songs were intentionally picked to tell their own story. The three original instrumentals were inspired by the people I work with, while some of the remaining three songs are kind of an amalgamated ideal of the strength of some of the women I've known; honestly, lately these songs have just been pouring out of me. As always, I would like to thank you all for helping with this, even though in some cases you probably didn't really know.

The album cover:

The art for this album was created by the wonderfully artistic Nori

The album begins with:

(I'm not your) Steppin' Stone- Originally written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, this song has been covered by so many bands from the Rascals to the Monkees to the Sex Pistols. This song is a lot of fun to play.

Is it Wendy Outside?- Originally this song was composed for a full band, I started playing with the piano and decided to keep this improvisation. Maybe, one day I'll release the original but honestly I prefer this one.

She's Like the Sunshine-You'll have to figure this out.

Sue's Brownies- Sue makes some great brownies!!

Grey Eyes- Could be my eyes? Don't know you'll need to figure it out

Good Lovin'- Originally written by Rudy Clark and Arthur Resnick, this song has been covered a few times

Coffees Brewing- Just another day at work, two creams and four Splenda please.

Tammy's Dancing Shoes- You gotta dance sometimes, imagine Elaine.

Simple Twist of Fate- My take on a Bob Dylan classic

About Healey St

Healey St is a musical project, based out of the Northeastern United States. It has been a work in progress since the 1970's. It was a crossroad in my life and like several other crossroads, it had opportunity to change and grow or shrink and disappear. It was a tough place to live and offered plenty of chances to learn life’s lessons. I thought it appropriate to name this project after it.

Initially the music you will hear from Healey St will be a classic rock kind of vibe like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Eagles and The Beatles. With the potential of working with other artists, I am sure the sound will evolve. Currently, all the instruments and mixings are just little old me.
